CNBC Awaaz consumer awards honored Akshay Kumar as the ‘Brand Ambassador Of The Year’. When the actor was asked about what he would like his brand image to signify, Kumar responded with a single word – trust.

The legendary Bollywood back-up singer Lata Mangeshkar turns 79 tomorow. Widely considered the nightingale of India, Lata was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records from 1974 to 1991 for recording the highest Bollywood. Some of his biggest directorial hits were ‘Dil to Pagal Hai’ and ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayeingay’.
